The Historic Old Mill

Snowball Mill was initially built in 1871 with 2.5 stories and in 1900 the building was enlarged to 4 stories and doubled the footprint. (by Eli Shatz of Sheffield).

Initially it operated as a Grist Mill with Snowball Creek flowing through the building but now the creek bypasses it and creates a lovely view and lunch spot for locals.

In 2007 it was purchased by Bill & Chris Janssen. Renovations started from the first floor up. To provide accessibility to the 2nd – 4th floors St George can now claim to having the highest outdoor elevator in its town. A beautiful stone structure created by Kranendonk Construction houses the 4 stop elevator by Cambridge Elevating at the rear of the building.

4th Floor has been renovated to include two businesses for your enjoyment. And relaxation.

The Old Mill Loft

A rustic party venue for a maximum of 60 guests to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, showers and small weddings.

The space includes a photo booth with accessories, tables, chairs, buffet table, frig, 3 section food warmer, 36 cup coffee perc and water cooler.

There are 3 local caterers in the village – Tansley's Coffee Emporium, Sweet Isa Catering and Drongkoski Deli as well as two pizza take-outs for your menu needs.
